What is Aadhar Card?

How to Download Eaadhar?
You may think that Aadhar card and Eaadhar are different than note that both are equal just the difference is one is an issue to you as a hard copy and another one you get as a pdf. Otherwise, there is no difference in it.
Once you enroll for Aadhar card, it will take minimum 90 days or 3 months to get Original Aadhar Card at home by Post, but as it is necessary at many places, you can download it from the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), which is called Eaadhar. You can get your Eaadhar after successful verification of your application.

To Download Eaadhar, follow the steps given below. Note that to download it, you must have your registered mobile number with you. Otherwise, it is not possible to download as you receive an OTP form your registered number.

Download Process of Eaadhar

Step 1:

Go to the official Eaadhar Portal from the link given below:
https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
Step 2:
Now you can see an image given below. Here you have to select I have an enrollment number. It is provided on your enrollment slip.

 

Step 3:
Now fill all the details as it is from the slip that is your 14 digit Enrollment Number (for example 1234/56789/12345) and Date and Time (for example 29/04/2017 02:20:04) as per enrollment slip.
Step 4:
Now enter your full name and 6 digit area pin code in particular space form the Aadhar Slip.

Step 5:
Enter the security code for Human Verification, given as per image.

 

Step 6:
Now you can see two option that “DO YOU HAVE TOTP?” on “Request OTP.” click on Request OTP.

Step 7:
In a few seconds, you will receive OTP on your registered mobile number, enter it and Click on download Aadhar tab.

 

Step 8:
As you click on it, a pdf file of your Eaadhar gets downloaded. Click on it to open it.
Step 9:
As you try to open it, it will ask you to for password. The pdf file secured with Password protected due to Security reasons. But do not worry, to open it you have to enter a password of 8 characters, in which first four characters are the first four letters of your name in capital and rest four is your year of birth. For example, my name is Khushboo Patel and my birthday is 27/09/1993 then my Eaadhar password is KHUS1993.
